PROJECTS

2014-2015:   School Safety and Classroom Grants

$20,000 - funded safety projects at Coffenberry Middle, Canyonville Schools, Myrtle Creek Elementary and Tri City Elementary Schools. 


$10,000 - Funded classroom grants to improve literacy, physical education, early reading and     at Myrtle Creek Elementary, Tri City Elementary and South Umpqua High Schools.

 

Bleachers and Windows

$10,000 - South Umpqua High School Gymnasium Bleachers (2012)


$2,000 - Coffenberry Middle School Window Treatment (2012)

 

New Gym Floor

$10,000 - South Umpqua High School Gymnasium Floor.


Began funding school safety grants 

 

Arts Program

​$8,417 - Various Arts programs, equipment and supplies distributed to South Umpqua High School, Coffenberry Middle School, Myrtle Creek Elementary, Tri City Elementary and Canyonville School (2011-2012)



Science Room Renovation

$115,000 - Two Science classroom renovation; $77,000 of this was acquired through grants from: The Ford Family Foundation, Cow Creek Umpqua Indian Foundation, The Whipple Foundation Fund, Coca Cola Bottling Foundation, The Autzen Foundation, South Douglas Rodeo, and Umpqua Bank (2009)

New Sound Systems

 

$10,800 - New sound systems for three elementary schools: Canyonville, Myrtle Creek, and Tri-City (2010)

 

New Student Lockers and School Storage.

 

$20,000 + $7,000 - Lockers at South Umpqua High School and closing up the old coves to create new storage space. (2006 and 2009)

Chemistry Room Renovation

 

$80,445 - Chemistry Room Renovation at South Umpqua High School (2008)
